speedcubing

I started cubing in 2015, after being introduced to it from building a Lego EV3 cube solver robot! I competed competitively in official WCA competitions for about 5 years, and during that time, I won 32 medals and had the following achievements:

  • Held 8 New Zealand National Records in 2x2 and Square-1
  • Broken a 6-year long standing National Record for 2x2 Average in 2017
  • Held 2x2 National Record consecutively for 5 years (2017-2022)
  • 3x National Champion in 2x2 and Square-1
  • (Highest) World Ranking of 12th for 2x2

Recently, I've started organising local speedcubing meetups in Auckland, at the Auckland Speedcubing Club , with CubeClubs NZ . I've found this incredibly enjoyable, especially being able to bring about more opportunities for beginners getting into cubing.

In April of 2023, I've had an amazing opportunity to join the New Zealand delegate team. I've since moved to NorCal (August 2023), and help delegate comps in Berkeley and around the Bay Area!

utilities, tools & resources

CubeTime and CubeClubs NZ are both co-written by me and my friend Reagan . And along with these projects, you can also find scripts we used to bring TNoodle to iOS, and a newer fork of tnoodle-lib to work with graalvm.

I've also done some random stuff here and there. You can find my modified WCA cubing icons here . And I've written some small scripts for friends, such as a quick regex filter tool for Square-1 PBL cases generated from sq1optm, which you can download, here .

Algs/resources that I've used in the past can be found here: 2x2 algs (modified from Will Callan's), Square-1 csp & trace schemes
